Scottish Association for Blind Bowlers
Quadram 2006 - Programme schedule
July 17th to July 25th - International Quadram
This International event was started after a meeting in 1993 when blind bowlers from Scotland competing in the International Blind Bowling Associations World Championships in British Columbia met and became friends with bowlers from Israel and Canada. Since then there have been five of these international events between Canada, Israel and Scotland One in Canada and Two in Israel and Scotland. This year England is joining in the event for the first time.
During the ten-day event the bowlers will be visiting different areas of the country. The clubs hosting the events are Ardrossan B.C Kirkhill B.C Cambuslang, Abercorn B.C Paisley, Kingswood B.C Glasgow, Headwell B.C Dunfermline, West End B.C Perth & Larbert B.C. At all these venues the local Councils have kindly agreed to hold a Civic Reception for the visiting bowlers.
Over the three days at Kingswood Bowling Club, Kingsbrae Avenue Glasgow six bowlers from each country will compete in a "Test Match" consisting of singles and pairs ties. At every other venue all the bowlers will participate in a series of friendly matches with local Scottish blind bowlers.
